Today will share with you some precautions that how to install vortex flowmeter.
Firstly, kinds of flowmeter as bellow:
VFM60 serials and VFM62 serials.
First Step:
Determine the installation position: Vortex flowmeters should be installed on vertical or horizontal pipelines, and avoid bending sections, pump valves and other pipeline equipment. At the same time, the position of non-corrosion, non-vibration and non-magnetic should be selected. Ensure that there is enough space around the installation position to facilitate installation, cable connection, and regular maintenance.
Second Step:
Pipeline preparation: Before installation, the impurities and dirt in the pipeline should be cleaned to ensure that the inner wall of the pipeline is smooth. According to the actual situation, cut the pipe properly and according to the vortex flowmeter
Dimensions Determine the positions of mounting holes.
Third Step:
Install vortex flow meter: Use a special template to mark the installation hole position of the vortex flow meter on the pipe, and then open the hole with a drill or cutter. Insert the vortex flow meter into the mounting hole, make sure the insertion depth is correct, and secure the vortex flow meter with bolts, nuts, or other fixtures. Ensure that there is no gap between the vortex flow meter and the pipe, and seal it with a sealing gasket to avoid fluid leakage. Care gasket ring should not protrude into the pipe to avoid affecting the reading value.
Connect electrical lines:
According to the requirements of vortex flow meters, connect electrical lines, including power cables and signal lines.
Remark:
If the vortex flow meter is used for flow regulation, the sensor of the vortex flow meter should be installed in front of the regulator to avoid the impact of the jet generated by the regulator on the measurement.
