(EAMI), founded in 1991 and headquartered in Xiamen, Fujian Province, has been focusing on the field of air compressors since its inception. To meet the increasingly stringent production requirements, EAMI purchased two DMG MORI DMC 75 H units in 2010. Today, there are 42 DMG MORI machines in the workshop, including 30 horizontal machining centers such as the NHX 8000 and several NHC series machines. EAMI also uses vertical machining centers and CNC turning centers. In addition, EAMI invested in two fully automated production lines at the end of 2021, each consisting of four NHC 4000 horizontal machining centers and mobile robots. High precision machining for oil-free air compressors

 

       In EAMI machining production, chip removal is the key. Chip removal directly affects product quality. It can be said that the requirements for processing machines are very high. In particular, EAMI's new products, such as oil-free dry air compressors, effectively prevent the heating of lubricating oil during air compression, resulting in temperature rise and faster operation. Wenhao HAN said: "This means that the processing accuracy of the core components must be improved to ensure the stability and working life of the air compressor at high speeds."

       EAMI process air compressor housings and bearing housings using DMG MORI machining centers, which are the core components of the company's products. The high precision, high performance and high stability of DMG MORI machines fully meet the machining requirements of EAMI and ensure the concentricity, parallelism, perpendicularity, flatness and surface quality of the box work piece, even under harsh working conditions. The geometry of these parts is complex and may deform if they are not clamped correctly. HAN said: "The DMG MORI machining center has significantly improved the machining efficiency and repeatability. The position error of the mold has been reduced from the original 0.04-0.06mm to 0.01-0.02mm, and the concentricity can now reach 0.01-0.02mm, which significantly improves the processing efficiency compared to the original horizontal machining center."

 

       EAMI manufactures air compressor housing using DMG MORI's horizontal machining center. Two production lines produce small and medium-sized work pieces, each of which consists of four NHC 4000 horizontal machining centers. Mobile robots automatically load and unload the machine.

       Each production line consists of four NHC 4000 horizontal machining centers and a mobile robot that loads work pieces onto pallets and into machine tools, and performs finished part unloading. Moreover, while the machine tool is processed, the machine tool operator can prepare a new pallet, and HAN said in evaluating the two production lines: "The two production lines fully meet the requirements of long-term, unattended production." After the work piece is clamped, the machine can run independently for a long time. These lines can also operate unattended at night." Can be operated by multiple machines. Actions speak louder than words: a production line requires only one operator and is at full capacity 24 hours a day. It used to take four employees to work two shifts.
