Eight key points of energy-saving for air compressor.

1. Replace the piston machine


At present, the most used air compressor is the piston compressor. Compared with traditional piston compressors, screw air compressors have the advantages of simple structure, small size, higher reliability, stability, and simple maintenance. The market share of screw air compressors has increased year by year, especially in recent years, energy-saving screw compressors have continued to emerge, and various companies have rushed to launch products that exceed the national energy efficiency rating standards.


2. Avoid leakage


If the compressed air is not sealed enough, such as hoses, joints, a small hole of 1 square millimetre, at a pressure of 7 bar, depending on the running time, it will lose almost 400-600 USD a year. It is urgent to check the air compressor pipeline leakage and optimize the pipeline design.


3. Pressure drop treatment


Pressure gauges set up in each section of the pipeline. Generally, the pressure drop from the outlet of the air compressor to the point of use in cannot exceed 1 bar, and more strictly, it cannot exceed 10%, which is 0.7 bar. Check the pressure drop of each section in detail. If there is a problem, it must maintain in time.


4. Evaluate the pressure requirements of equipment


Under the condition of ensuring production, the exhaust pressure of the air compressor should reduce as much as possible. Mostly air equipment only needs 3~4bar, and a few manipulators only need 6bar or more. (pressure is lower by 1bar, energy saving is about 7~10%).


5. Use the efficient compressor

6. Centralized control

7. Reduce the air compressor intake temperature


Since the internal temperature of the most air compressor station is higher than the outdoor temperature, outdoor gas extraction can be considered. Do an excellent job in equipment maintenance and cleaning, increase the heat dissipation effect of the air compressor, the exchange effect of water-cooled, air-cooled heat exchangers, and maintain oil quality, etc., all of which can reduce energy consumption.


8. Waste heat recovery


Air compressor waste heat recovery generally uses efficient waste heat utilization equipment to heat cold water by absorbing air compressor waste heat without additional energy consumption. It mainly solves the problems of employees' lives and industrial hot water, saving a lot of energy for the enterprise.
